CHANGES IN UTRIA ASSAULT 2010 COMPETITION

These changes are based on suggestions from teams and the analysis made by competition staff. Not all suggestions are applied but we hope to implement most of them already at Erna Raid 2010 competition.

Changes:

1. The restriction on area and roads will be removed for teams as well as for counteraction. This means the counteraction can locate themselves wherever needed (including forest and firebreaks). Teams can also move anywhere they find necessary, the only restrictions are danger areas, nature protection areas, settlements and not being allowed to move outside the area of competition map.
2. In mandate the team receives only their team number, competition map, administrative order (to where and when support staff are allowed to go on what purpose) and start grids and time.
3. Team has to make contact on the trail at the designated time using the radio station in their equipment.

Activities on trail:

1. Shooting from pistol and rifle
2. First aid
3. Knowledge of various maps
4. Determining location
5. Knowledge of NATO map symbols
6. Movement on mined area
7. Obstacle crossing
8. Grenade throwing
9. Attention

As always some surprises.
